I haven't had a chance to check it out yet (woe!) but I have perfect faith in its intense wonderfulness! And now, some artistic commentary: The banner's a little dark, I think, but when have the Winchesters had a summer that wasn't? salty_catfish pointed out my affection for Dean's shoulderssssss, which need no further explanation. The calendar is meant to count down the summer months, and the circled date is September 18th, the day Dean was gripped tight and raised from perdition--or one level of it, in any case.

2. I just posted a rec post over at hoodie_time that is brimming with the aforementioned excellence one can expect from Dean H/C. If you're jonesing for fics dealing with Dean and depression (and so, so much else), these are some of my recent favorites: Fic Pairing--like wine-pairing but with more H/C

3. I also guest-recced minor character fic over at rocksalt_recs in July, which I've gathered here:

- Days Without Feathers by pyrebi (Jessica Moore's Mother)

This last one is a fic from spn_summergen, so the writer's not been revealed yet. I'm going to put my summergen recs in a separate post later on, but I figure why rec something once when you can rec it twice? :P In that vein, I also want to rec one more summergen fic that deals with minor characters:

Summary: S5. Castiel and Claire are both looking for their fathers. Their paths eventually meet up.

Reccer's Comments: I absolutely adore the way that Claire and Castiel's searches dovetail here, the way the Winchesters and the rest of the world fill in the background. All of the little details, the international feel Castiel lends to the piece, the deeply personal fibers Claire brings--just exquisite, really. Fabulous.

Also, I love that banner, and your reccy-ness. I feel like I haven't read anything non h/c-y in so long, so I'll have to check some of those out for sure. And the h/c-y ones as well, of course! ;D

Its mere existence pleases me ever so much!! Heee I think I've pretty much just been reading H/C fics and challenge stuff; my minor character recs are all very old! But summergen has been gifting me with so many delightful things daily. I'm so impressed by the breadth and caliber of the fics this year eeeeeek.

though now that it's been going on for a month every morning I wake up and I'm like IS MINE POSTED YET XDD
